Stainless Steel 317 Angle is an anticorrosion austenitic steel alloy consisting of chromium (18–20%), nickel (11–15%), molybdenum (3–4%), and minimum carbon content, which increases considerably its resistance to chemical attack in acidic and chloride-containing environments. This alloy provides a tensile strength around 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 35%. Its high molybdenum content provides improvement in pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance.
