Super Duplex Steel S32760 or SAF 32760 is an extremely resistant alloy containing around 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, and traces of nitrogen, tungsten, and copper. This strong chemical composition possesses high resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, particularly in chloride environments and seawater. Mechanically, S32760 foil has tensile strength of 620–900 MPa, yield strength of 450 MPa, and elongation of approximately 25%. The foil is also characterized by excellent impact toughness, weldability, and fatigue resistance and thus is appropriate for aggressive operating conditions.
