Titanium Sheets and Plates consist mainly of titanium (Ti) with alloying elements like aluminium (Al), vanadium (V), and iron (Fe), varying with the grade. Commercially pure titanium (Grades 1–4) is great for corrosion resistance, whereas Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5) alloys are great for strength. These sheets have a high strength-to-weight ratio, low thermal expansion, and weldability. They have mechanical properties in the form of tensile strength up to 900 MPa, great fatigue strength, and heat resistance up to 600°C. These characteristics make titanium sheets and plates suitable for performance-critical, high-temperature, and corrosive applications.
