Titanium foils are produced from commercially pure titanium or titanium alloys like Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5), which comprise about 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. These foils have high tensile strength (as high as 1100 MPa), low density (4.51 g/cm³), and superior corrosion and fatigue resistance. They have a melting point of 1668°C and superior thermal stability and function effectively in corrosive and high-temperature conditions. Also, they are biocompatible and can be used in medical applications. Titanium foils possess strength, flexibility, and durability and are therefore suitable for advanced technical and structural applications.
