Monel K500 Sheets and Plates consist mainly of 63% nickel and 28–34% copper with other elements such as 2–3% aluminum, 1.5% titanium, and small amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. This distinctive alloy has better strength, toughness, and excellent corrosion resistance, especially in seawater and chemicals. Mechanically, it has a tensile strength of 130–150 ksi (895–1035 MPa), yield strength of 60 ksi (415 MPa), elongation of 30% in 2 inches (50 mm), and Brinell hardness of approximately 200, which are suitable for extreme operating conditions.
