Stainless Steel 347 Slitting Coils and Coils contain chromium (17–19%), nickel (9–13%), and niobium (up to 1%), which stabilizes the alloy to prevent carbide precipitation, resulting in increased resistance against intergranular corrosion and oxidation at higher temperatures. Stainless Steel 347 coils provide tensile strength of around 515 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and elongation of 40%, with consistent performance up to 870°C. They find applications in high-temperature, corrosive conditions with strength, durability, and heat resistance and are suited for both structural use and high-performance industrial use.
