Stainless Steel 202 Coil is an economical, low-nickel version of grade 304. It contains 17–19% Chromium, 4–6% Nickel, and 7.5–10.5% Manganese, along with trace amounts of Carbon, Silicon, and Iron as the base. The alloy provides fair corrosion resistance in mildly aggressive conditions and good weldability. Mechanically, it offers tensile strength of 505 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 50% and can be utilized for forming and fabrication. Strength along with oxidation resistance makes it suitable for industrial applications in moderate-stress conditions.
