Stainless Steel 253MA Channel is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that has 20–22% chromium, 4.5–5.5% nickel, 1.5–2.5% silicon, and 0.6–1.0% manganese with low carbon (≤0.03%) and nitrogen for high oxidation resistance and creep strength. The alloy provides excellent performance at temperatures up to 1100°C with a tensile strength of ~620 MPa, yield strength of 290 MPa, and elongation of 30%. The presence of silicon and nitrogen provides better scaling resistance, thermal fatigue resistance, and mechanical stability for long-term exposure in high-temperature applications.
