Nickel Alloy 201 Foils consist of 99% pure nickel with trace amounts of manganese, copper, iron, and carbon, which are good for excellent corrosion resistance—especially in alkaline and reducing conditions. The alloy has superior ductility, good weldability, and retains mechanical properties at low and high temperatures. Significant mechanical properties are tensile strength of 380–520 MPa, yield strength of 140–210 MPa, and elongation of 30–50%. Its low magnetic permeability and thermal conductivity qualify it for uses requiring stability, conductivity, and formability under changing industrial conditions.
