Typically, Hastelloy B3 Sheets and Plates consist of about 65% nickel and 28–30% molybdenum, along with trace amounts of iron, cobalt, and other elements that boost corrosion resistance and stability. This alloy not only provides enhanced thermal stability compared to its predecessors but also boasts excellent resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and knife-line attack. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of roughly 760 MPa, yield strength around 350 MPa, and good ductility.
