Typically, Duplex Steel Foil contains around 22–25% chromium, 4–7% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and a balanced amount of iron, along with nitrogen to boost its mechanical properties. This blend gives it remarkable strength—about twice that of standard austenitic stainless steels—and excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of up to 800 MPa and a yield strength of around 550 MPa, along with good elongation and weldability. Plus, the foil form is lightweight and flexible, making it perfect for precision components without sacrificing mechanical integrity.
