Titanium Grade 2 (Ti Gr 2) is a commercially pure titanium alloy that contains about 99% titanium, with minute amounts of iron (0.1–0.2%) and oxygen (0.18–0.40%). This alloy has superior corrosion resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, and satisfactory formability. Major mechanical properties are tensile strength of 345 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa, and elongation of 20%. The density is 4.51 g/cm³ and the strength is retained up to 400°C. These characteristics make Titanium Grade 2 suitable for high-performance applications under severe or corrosive conditions.
