Monel K500 U Channel (DIN 2.4375) is a high-strength nickel-copper alloy with the addition of aluminum (2.3–3.15%) and titanium (0.35–0.85%) for precipitation hardening. The alloy has a nominal composition of 63% nickel, 27–33% copper, and trace amounts of iron (up to 2%) and carbon (0.25%). The alloy offers excellent mechanical properties with tensile strength of 965 MPa, yield strength of 690 MPa, and elongation of 20%. It has excellent resistance to corrosion in acids and seawater and has structural integrity at elevated temperatures, which makes it suitable for heavy-duty engineering and industrial uses.
