The Stainless Steel 430 Coil and Slitting Coil are mainly made up of iron and chromium (16–18%), along with trace amounts of silicon, manganese, and a very low carbon content. As a ferritic alloy, it provides solid resistance to oxidation and corrosion in mildly corrosive environments. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 450–600 MPa and a yield strength of around 205 MPa, along with decent elongation and thermal conductivity. While it may not be the best choice for heavy welding or extremely corrosive conditions, it performs reliably in general applications and is resistant to stress corrosion cracking.
