Stainless Steel 201 Slitting Coils and Coils contain around 16–18% Chromium, 3.5–5.5% Nickel, 5.5–7.5% Manganese, and Carbon, Silicon, and Nitrogen in minor proportions. This grade is less in nickel content, providing an economic substitute for grades having higher nickel content such as 304, while not compromising on corrosion resistance. Such coils possess a tensile strength of 515 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa, and elongation of 40%, with the density being 7.85 g/cm³. The coils have superior performance at moderate temperatures and formability, making them perfect for both structural and decoration.
