Stainless Steel 316L Channel is an austenitic stainless steel alloy containing chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), and molybdenum (2–3%) and providing excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in chloride and acid environments. It contains low carbon content (≤0.03%), which improves weldability and prevents carbide precipitation during welding. Other elements present are manganese (2%), silicon (≤1%), phosphorus (≤0.045%), and sulfur (≤0.03%). Mechanically, it provides tensile strength of 485 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, elongation of 40%, and hardness of 90 HRB, providing toughness in application-intensive industries.
