Stainless Steel 301 Channel is an austenitic stainless steel alloy comprising about 16–18% chromium, 6–8% nickel, and minute amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon. The higher concentration of nickel enhances formability and resistance to corrosion, while the high rate of work-hardening facilitates excellent strengthening after forming. The alloy provides a yield strength of 520–720 MPa and a tensile strength of approximately 275 MPa, well suited for structural and high-stress uses. It also possesses good weldability and is well suited for application in moderately aggressive conditions.
