Stainless Steel 304 Channel is an austenitic stainless steel having a balance of around 18–20% of chromium, 8–10.5% of nickel, a maximum 2% of manganese, 1% of silicon, and a maximum of 0.08% of carbon, with traces of phosphorus, sulfur, and nitrogen. This balanced constitution provides a high resistance to corrosion, good formability, and excellent mechanical strength. The material offers tensile strength of 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 40%. It is also extremely weldable and machinable, and hence, it can be applied to a wide range of structural and sanitary uses.
