Haynes 230 is a solid-solution-strengthened alloy made up of about 57% nickel, 22% chromium, 14% tungsten, and 2% molybdenum, with a touch of cobalt and iron. It boasts impressive oxidation resistance up to 1149°C (2100°F) and retains remarkable mechanical strength even at high temperatures. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 850 to 1000 MPa, a yield strength of around 400 to 500 MPa, and good ductility with elongation exceeding 40%. This alloy also excels in creep resistance, thermal fatigue performance, and outstanding fabricability for welding and forming processes.
