For instance, Hastelloy C276 typically has about 57% nickel, 16% molybdenum, 15.5% chromium, and 5% iron. These foils are known for their exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, even when exposed to aggressive chemicals like hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and seawater. They boast mechanical properties that include tensile strengths ranging from 690 to 825 MPa and excellent ductility, maintaining their integrity in both high and sub-zero temperatures.
