Stainless Chequered Sheets are usually produced using 304 or 316L grades with 18–20% chromium and 8–14% nickel, besides containing 2–3% molybdenum in the case of 316L. The sheets provide tensile strength 70–85 ksi and yield strength approximately 25 to 45 ksi with elongation ≥40%. Slip resistance is enhanced by the patterned surface without sacrificing structural strength. They exhibit good mechanical properties under conditions of dynamic loading and are resistant to corrosion, oxidation, and chemical attack, and they can be used both interior and exterior in corrosive and high-wear situations.
